AI: CTN 0452-9: A Halo HQ Exclusive

Voiced by Jen Taylor, AI: Cortana was brought to life. She envisioned a world with peace. A world that lived in harmony. Cortana in reality is the reincarnation  of Gene Roddenberry. Gene saw a society in the future without war, racism, or aggression.  He envisioned peace, unity, teamwork, and so much more.

All of the people who work here at Halo HQ had mixed feelings about Halo 5. Some thought it was fun while others thought it was lacking what Halo was truly about. In my personal opinion, Halo 5 did not feel like Halo. Of course I knew where 343 Industries was going with the story. Chief will go out with a bang and Locke shall be the new hero. But is that what Halo fans around the globe really want? We aren’t afraid of change, we simply want it to come gradually. And we don’t need John-117 leaving the picture any time soon.

What Halo should do is follow a path similar to what Star Trek and Star Wars is currently on. Blending old stories with new tactics and characters. I feel as if this would reunite the community. If the change came gradually, there wouldn’t be a complaint in the world. The story would fit perfectly. 343 should also correct the story by showing us Cortana’s true intentions. She is not the villain, nor has she ever been the villain. Cortana is looking to bring peace to all species, races, etc. But most importantly, she wants to bring peace to humanity; not only to those who are willing to listen but to everyone. She does not wish to annihilate mankind. If 343 does exactly this, I’m sure Halo would live long and prosper for many more years to come.

I would like to end this post with a quote from the 2001 film Hannibal and the Halo character Stg. Johnson.

“Do you believe a man could become so obsessed with a woman, from a single encounter? Could he daily feel a stab of hunger for her and find nourishment in the very sight of her? I think so. But would she see through the bars of his plight and ache for him?”
– Hannibal Lecter

“Don’t ever let her go…”
-Stg. Johnson
