343 Industries franchise development director Frank O’Connor reassured fans that Halo 5: Guardians will not go through the same issues that burdened The Master Chief Collection. O’Connor stated that the several issues within The Master Chief Collection was a black eye for 343 Industries but it is something that they do not intend to cover up. He then went on to explain the main problem with The Master Chief Collection. It is that it involved five different game engines along with five different studios conducting work on the game. 343 Industries role in the project was only to put the pieces together which is why the result was a calamity.
O’Connor implied that the game is being constructed from the ground up using the newest technology available. The beta version of “Halo 5: Guardians” also showed that it does not have the same problems or issues as those being experienced by “Halo: The Master Chief Collection.”
